Kari holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago in Fine Arts with a minor in Psychology. Kari has Professional Certifications in both Landscape Design and Plant Propagation from William Rainey Harper College, and in Business Administration from UC-Berkeley Extension. She is also currently taking courses at Presidio Graduate School.
Passionate about the environment, ecology, creative expression, and all things green.
Kari Dorth is Director of Admissions at Presidio Graduate School. Prior to PGS, Kari was the Vice President of Greenhome LLC. In her time with the firm, she was responsible for coordinating the sales team, marketing, operations, supply chain business and customer relations, and product procurement. Additionally, Kari led all of the company’s community environmental awareness initiatives and enjoys camping and taking her dogs to the beach every morning.
Before moving to San Francisco in 2008, Kari was Business Manager for Anna Held Floral Studio, managing the business operations of one of Chicago’s most elite floral and event planning companies. Kari was also the business and marketing coordinator at Urban Meadows; a non-profit floral business whose primary mission was to facilitate wellness and enrichment education for members of Thresholds. She was involved with several environmentally based volunteer efforts including prairie restoration and other greening projects in the greater Chicagoland area.
