The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious marketing leader/content marketing pro who is equally passionate about sustainability and social and environmental justice as they are about pace setting content marketing.

The new Content Marketing Manager will lead the development of content initiatives in all forms to drive student enrollment growth and enhance relationships with both students and alumni. Our ideal candidate brings experience across all stages of content strategy, writing, and distribution.

On our team, we roll up our sleeves and deliver, starting with strategy discussions and moving to tactical execution. Our new Content Marketing Manager drives student enrollment by:

  • Creating content in a variety of formats that captivates and engages prospective students
  • Sharing content across all the channels /communication platforms and leveraging insights to improving content and channel placement
  • Measuring content marketing activity results and using data to harness actionable insights
  • Tracking trends across marketing and consumer behavior

Our new Content Marketing Manager creates a stronger learning community by:

  • Creating content to inform and engage current students, employees, and faculty
  • Improving communications based on data and qualitative feedback
  • Building a robust communications plan to achieve key organizational goals, and executing strategy by creating channel-specific content, including workflows for all stages of content.
  • Continuously evolving the communications plan based on quantitative and qualitative data
  • Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, drive student enrollment and support retention
  • Producing content relevant to the graduate education sector, prospective students, and stages along the student recruitment and conversion journey
  • Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content
  • Integration of content activities across all channels and platforms, including social media, website, email/newsletter distribution, and PGS student intranet.
  • Conducting competitive audits
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in marketing communications, advertising, or journalism, including experience implementing content strategy best practices and methodologies
  • Proven project management skills, with strong attention to detail and a good sense of humor.
  • Experience working in agile and highly collaborative team environments
  • Proven writing skills with the ability to synthesize the brand voice and bring an editorial mindset
  • Ability to balance 80% creative work with 20% data analysis

This position is located in the Presidio in San Francisco until June 2020; at that time, the organization will move offices with precise location TBD, but a top priority is for the new office to be in walking distance to a BART station. We encourage telecommuting up to 1-2 days per week.
