K-12 Climate Change Education for All

Since our founding, Presidio has always strived to build educational programs that cultivate climate literacy and systems thinking. We believe in providing our community with the tools and resources to be true advocates of equity and stewards of the environment. We’re excited to apply this same philosophy to reach younger learners by equipping K-12 educators with the skills to bring climate science into any classroom, regardless of subject or grade level.

As a teacher, you have a unique opportunity to educate and empower the next generation of citizens around climate change. We’re here to set you up for success. Our fully online course offerings are FREE to any K-12 educator.

The Climate Change Essentials for All Educators course offers interactive, expert instruction to help you build climate change education into your existing curriculum for any subject or grade level. Enroll now for the opportunity to earn either 45 professional development hours, 4.5 Continuing Education Units, or 3 Graduate Credits.

The Teaching Extreme Weather course provides science teachers with an opportunity to explore the driving forces behind extreme weather events occurring where they live and the relationship to climate change. Earn either 15 professional development hours, 1.5 CEUs, or 1 graduate credit.

The Teaching Climate Justice course explores important topics around climate change and environmental justice. You’ll examine the history of the environmental and climate justice movements, the inequitable impact of climate change on marginalized communities, and explore ideas and solutions for how to address climate justice. Earn either 15 professional development hours, 1.5 CEUs, or 1 graduate credit.
