Job Overview

The Digital and Content Marketing Specialist works with the VP of Marketing to implement and optimize digital marketing campaigns and help develop a long-term digital marketing strategy. This position helps oversee SEO activation, website development, social media, and email campaigns to deliver impactful lead generation and conversion rates. This position is responsible for generating monthly reports and recommendations for improvement.  This position will collaborate closely with internal partners and external vendors to create and distribute content through owned, paid, and earned media channels.

Required Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent
  • 2-4 years in a digital marketing role
  • Proven success using a marking automation platform
  • Experience using project management systems and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of current marketing trends
  • Knowledge and understanding of current sustainability trends
  • Knowledge and understanding of current education trends
  • Experience with reporting and analyzing data
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS and knowledge of basic code is desirable
  • Knowledgeable of Salesforce
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to create visuals
  • Knowledge of video content best practices

Technical Competencies
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining a successful SEO plan
  • Experience working in a content management system
  • Experience successfully using Marketing Automation
  • Must be able to develop nurture campaigns and implement lead tracking.
  • Experience with marketing automation, email marketing, content management, and social media systems and platforms
  • Understanding of different data analytics tools needed to analyze the performance of digital marketing
  • Experience executing campaigns on email platforms
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and design/layout capabilities
Core Job Responsibilities

Inbound marketing platform and campaign development:

  • Work to identify and implement a Marketing Automation platform
  • Utilize marketing automation to develop nurture campaigns which focus on particular audiences/areas of interest
  • Look for ways to increase inbound lead generation
  • Build out email campaigns
  • Support staff on how to integrate multi-media marketing campaigns with inbound lead generation

Support website and CMS development:

  • Maintain and improve website through continuous updates
  • Partner internally to optimize performance, improve user experience, and drive inbound traffic
  • Develop and maintain content calendars
  • Edit, create, and source original thought leadership content
  • Seek to improve the community spirit of PGS through the curation of content
  • Narrate the Presidio Graduate School story to potential students and sustainability thought leaders
  • Optimize content for the web

Help develop digital strategy:

  • Work with VP of Marketing to develop long-term digital marketing strategy
  • Continuously analyze existing digital efforts for opportunities
  • Remain current on digital marketing trends
  • Ensure adherence to Mission, Vision, and Values through development and implementation

SEO:

  • Optimize website organic search performance
  • Continue to study and implement the latest SEO techniques

Active collaboration with stakeholders in the organization to develop a marketing ethos:

  • Be familiar with and keep up to date on trends in sustainability and the education sector
  • Keep up to date with marketing trends and innovations
  • Attend training as required
  • Host skill building training as necessary to support digital marketing objectives
  • Actively seek to improve understanding of stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to cross-functional initiatives to drive customer value
  • Adhere to all policies and regulations to consumer confidentiality
  • Maintain integrity of the brand and organizational assets
