February 29 Message from VP Enrollment and Student Affairs Diana Asaad

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

I am writing today to let you know about how the school is responding to the evolving Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) situation.

A task force has been activated and is regularly meeting to evaluate developments. We are closely monitoring advice and directives coming from the CDC, the California Department of Health, and the federal government. In addition, we are following updates from airlines, major Bay Area organizations, and local schools.

If the situation with COVID-19 increases in severity, we will contact you immediately and implement plans to move March Residency online (via Zoom).  We will send updates as this situation demands. Just to be clear, it is not currently our plan to move March Residency online. However, we are monitoring the situation and will implement this option if necessary.

Out of an abundance of caution, we recommend that you monitor your health and that of your family if you have traveled to or been in close contact with someone who has traveled to countries that are experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. If you or a family member suspect any COVID-19 symptoms, please reference the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations. You can access CDC’s recommendations here.

As we contend with the COVID-19, we are thinking of you and your families, friends, and colleagues, and we are committed to providing the support you may need. We are also thinking of the communities around the world that are facing significant disruption and loss.

Best,

Diana Asaad, EdD
Vice President of Enrollment & Student Affairs
