Greg Kandankulam

Greg Kandankulam, MBA, of cohort 13, is the Senior Manager of Sustainability at NRG Energy, a Fortune 200 Company that operates one of the country’s most diverse power generation portfolios. He leads the Sustainable Energy Advisory, a team of senior advisors and sustainability specialists that assist clients in driving their companies towards sustainable solutions. He is currently creating a framework for managing NRG’s carbon reduction strategy with respect to growing a renewable portfolio and managing fossil fleet assets, and has extensive experience with smart grid assets and utility regulatory policy. He has presented on the future of the grid to public sector audiences throughout the country. Previously, Greg served for four years as Sustainability Commissioner for the City of Sausalito in California.
