Heather Braithwaite

Mentor in Residence

Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding rivers and bays, Heather became deeply connected to nature. For over a decade, that connection created her drive and commitment to protect the environment through capital deployment for clean energy projects.

Heather helped create many on and off-bill clean energy financing programs for various stakeholders across the country and helped deploy millions of dollars into projects across all clean energy technologies and sectors. To help fulfill her personal and professional mission, Heather is currently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the Colorado Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a climate-first investment fund and Colorado’s Green Bank that aims to mitigate climate change, advance environmental and economic justice, and create a healthier and more resilient Colorado by expanding access to capital to underserved projects and communities.

Heather understands the sense of urgency surrounding climate change and the importance partnerships and capital play in achieving climate goals. Her personal commitment to her mission is unwavering as she is a “climate change fighter!”
