For the second straight year, EOS Climate is being recognized as best at what it does. Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance magazines awarded the company Best Project Developer – North American Markets.  EOS was also named runner-up for Best Offset Originator – California.

The 13th Annual Market Survey by Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance magazines are based on analysis of leading participants in the carbon, U.S. emissions, weather risk management, and renewable energy certificate markets. EOS received awards for Best Originator and Project Developer in 2011.

Born from the efforts of Presidio alumnus Jeff Cohen, EOS Climate has developed as the market leader in delivering verified emission reductions from the destruction of ozone-depleting substances. EOS Vice President of Technology Saskia Feast says it was the Presidio Graduate School that created the atmosphere for the company to grow.

“Presidio teaches students to look at business from a systems perspective,” she said, adding that many members of the EOS staff are connected through Presidio experiences.

Regarding the current awards, she says “It’s always a pleasure to be recognized by your customers and your peers. We put a lot of effort into making sure we deliver high quality and highly transparent solutions.”

Moreover, Feast says these awards, coupled with other successes this year in the carbon tax auction are a clear indication of “good progress in the right direction.”

EOS has been recognized multiple times. EOS last year won the competitive Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Awards Program award in the category of Climate Change

We are thrilled and honored to receive this level of recognition, and proud to be making such a significant contribution to California's economic and environmental success," said Matt Jones, CEO of EOS.  "This award validates EOS' approach as an invaluable solution to climate change."
