Presidio Graduate School knows its graduates are innovative, inspiring and inventive individuals, but the recent acceptance of three separate papers for presentation at the upcoming conference of The American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) indicates Presidio also graduates communities of like-minded thinkers.

Current MPA students Amy Johnson and Judi Brown and MPA alums Tommaso Boggia and Jenny Sant'Anna have had papers accepted to the 2013 ASPA conference Mar. 15 – 19 in New Orleans.  Research methods professor, Stacie Furia is also on the presentation roster at ASPA.

“When we saw the theme, we knew we had to submit papers and try to represent (the school),” says Sant’Anna. The theme of the conference is “Governance and Sustainability: Local Concerns, Global Challenges.”

Apart from the obvious pride the school has in its alumni, students, and staff, MPA Program Director Ryan Cabinte says these acceptances are external validation for Presidio.

“In higher education we worry about whether we are delivering outcomes,” he says.  “To the extent that these papers were reviewed by a committee, this is an indication about the quality of work coming out of Presidio.
