Message from the PGS Board of Directors
Dear PGS Community,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 PGS school year! All of us have been through many months of changes to our routines, concerns about the health of our families and communities, and uncertainty about what is ahead. We hope that you and your loved ones continue to be safe and healthy.
As we look towards the next year, we are grateful for and inspired by the PGS community—each of you committed to making the world a better place. It is our pleasure to serve on the PGS Board of Directors, supporting the work of President Maw, Provost Kadir, COO Asaad, and other PGS administrators and faculty.
Over the past few months, the Board has approved an inspiring strategic plan for our school’s future. First, we re-affirmed our support of the PGS’s mission and aspiration to educate changemakers to create a more just, sustainable, and flourishing future.
Second, the Board has worked collaboratively with the administration to develop a vision for the school, including new areas of study beyond our MBA programming, and investigating opportunities through our partnership with Amity University. We approved the administration’s plans and budget for the year that will prioritize the following objectives:
- Playing to our strengths: Strengthening and improving the curriculum of our current MBA degree
- Pushing the envelope of our offerings: Updating and improving our MPA program while creating new standalone certificates and other degree programs
- Recruiting and supporting a diverse, talented, and passionate student body: We know that the PGS students and faculty are incredible changemakers, and as we grow, we plan to double down on making our community even more diverse, global, and connected
We look forward to engaging our community as these ideas are piloted and implemented so that we can fine-tune these improved educational opportunities. The Board and administrative team are united in our goal of transparency and engagement as we move forward, and we will provide regular updates and forums to provide for direction and comment.
