Presidio Graduate School Introduces Expert Faculty Leading Online Master of Public Administration Program

Noted changemakers Jonathan Foley, PhD.; Andrea Prebys-Williams, MPA, MBA; and Loretta Ross launched the first term of PGS’s future-focused degree

FEB. 22, 2021 – San Francisco – Presidio Graduate School (PGS), a nonprofit, accredited graduate school with a mission to educate changemakers to build a flourishing future for all, today introduced Jonathan Foley, PhD.; Andrea Prebys-Williams, MPA, MBA; and Loretta Ross as the expert faculty members charged with leading PGS’s new Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.

The fully online MPA degree program launched today and integrates the latest theory and practice of public administration while empowering leaders to impact positive change in climate and environmental sustainability, racial equity and social justice, and systems thinking in order to build a flourishing future for all.

Jonathan Foley, PhD. is a world-renowned environmental scientist, sustainability expert, author and public speaker. As Executive Director of Project Drawdown, his work is focused on understanding the changing planet and finding new solutions to sustain the climate, ecosystems, and natural resources that are critical to society. Foley teaches system dynamics as applied to climate change and climate solutions in PGS’s MPA program.

Andrea Prebys-Williams, MPA, MBA is a community organizer with a focus on social justice and worker rights who has led numerous campaigns to unionize workers and develop and mobilize union workers. She has worked with nonprofits, labor unions, educational institutions, and philanthropists and has consulted on various projects at the community-building and policy level. She is a PGS alumna and co-teaches a course on leadership with empathy in public service in PGS’s MPA program.

Loretta Ross is a noted, award-winning speaker, author, and organizer of movements around reproductive justice, racism, and human rights. As part of her 50-year history in social justice activism, she co-created the theory of reproductive justice, co-directed the national March for Women’s lives, and founded the National Center for Human Rights Education. Ross co-teaches a course on leadership with empathy in public service in PGS’s MPA program.
