Marsha maintains her 25-year-old consulting firm doing business under the name of AXIS Performance Advisors. AXIS specializes in helping organizations implement sustainability. She has worked with organizations in all sectors including AAA, City of Portland, City of Hillsboro, Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt law firm, Portland State University, Carollo Engineering and many more. She is the co-author of The Business Guide to Sustainability and The Step by Step Guide to Sustainability Planning.

Marsha is a co-founder, former Executive Director, and current board officer of International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), the professional association serving the people working in the field of sustainability. Marsha leads the education and certification committee of ISSP and is in the process of creating a professional certification.

Marsha has a PhD from the University of Southern California and teaches graduate level courses in sustainability at several colleges and universities on the west coast.
