Earlier this year, a group of Presidio Graduate School students had the exciting opportunity to attend the ClimateCAP: The Global MBA Summit on Climate, Capital, and Business at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Bringing together over 430 MBA students from 42 universities, ClimateCAP is a dynamic space where tomorrow’s leaders explore how climate change is shaping global markets — and how business can be a force for resilience, innovation, and equity. Through panels, workshops, networking, and interactive sessions, students gain critical insights into the financial risks and opportunities created by the climate crisis, and saw firsthand how companies across industries are adapting to a changing world.

Student participation was made possible through donor support, reflecting Presidio’s commitment to expanding access to real-world learning experiences.

Our students made the most of it.

Throughout the weekend, they engaged deeply with fellow changemakers, heard directly from industry leaders, and sharpened their understanding of how sustainability principles can drive business transformation.

As one student, Emily Krantz, reflected, “Still processing ClimateCAP 2025…As I reflect on the event, I’m left with both urgency and optimism. The path forward demands bold action, systems thinking, and cross-sector collaboration—but the momentum is real.” The event created space not only for technical learning, but for genuine community-building — a theme echoed by many who attended.

For some, the weekend provided clarity about their future path. Clara Cardillo shared, “Even just one day at ClimateCAP 2025 was enough to leave inspired. There’s something energizing about being surrounded by sharp, mission-driven minds all grappling with the same big questions—how do we build stronger, more sustainable markets that drive real climate solutions?” Others celebrated the empowering connections formed at the intersection of climate action and leadership.

The energy of the summit was contagious. Alex Bogdan captured it simply: “This is what the future of business must look like — profit with purpose, innovation with impact, and a commitment to protecting our one and only home.”

Attending events like ClimateCAP aligns beautifully with the Presidio experience: where systemic thinking, cross-sector leadership, and a commitment to equity meet real-world practice.

We are proud to be able to support our students in attending impactful events and conferences — moments where students step into their power, expand their perspectives, and forge new pathways toward a more sustainable, just future.

We can’t wait to see how the insights and relationships built this year will ripple forward.
