Neelam Hadaf

Associate Director of Admissions

As the Associate Director of Admissions at Presidio Graduate School, I cultivate relationships with our prospective students to help them navigate the application process and discover the many benefits of enrolling in our programs. I particularly enjoy helping people discover or progress along their path to impact. I’m also an MBA candidate here at PGS. I’m so proud to be a Presidian because of the impact I see our students make each day.

I was raised in the Bay Area and have lived here most of my life; however, I was born in Afghanistan, and I came to America with my mother when I was only a year old. My mother was brave enough to leave the country as a refugee, in order to give me opportunities that I would not be exposed to in a country that did not value women’s rights.

Professionally, I bring ten years of experience in sales, operations, marketing, and recruiting. I started my PGS journey after traveling to India and witnessing the waste accumulated on the beach and in the ocean. I was moved to take action and chose to pursue a career in the field of sustainability to protect our oceans.

I graduated from Menlo College with a BA in Psychology and will be earning my MBA from PGS in December 2020. I’ve worked on projects for Ocean2Table, VMware, and other organizations as part of our experiential learning model, and it was so rewarding to make a tangible contribution while applying what I’ve learned at PGS.

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, hiking, and spending time with my family. I am also a Kathak dancer. Kathak is one of the main genres of ancient Indian classical dance and originated from the traveling bards of North India known as Kathakars or storytellers. The Kathakars communicated their stories through movement, and so this is a style of dance and performance art that incorporates legends from ancient mythology and great Indian epics.
