Pamela J. Gordon

Adjunct Professor

I grew up in Silicon Valley in a family of engineers and backpackers. Consequently, it’s not a stretch that my career has been in the tech industry, focusing on sustainability. After graduating from San Jose State University with a BA in Business Management and working my way up to senior analyst at an electronics-industry consultancy, I founded Technology Forecasters Inc. to help electronics companies to build responsible and efficient supply chains.

When my book Lean and Green: Profit for Your Workplace and the Environment was published, I expanded my firm’s services to include profitable sustainability strategies. During these years, I trained more than one thousand product designers and students in Eco-Design and Circular Economy, wrote hundreds of articles, and gave keynotes and guest lecturers on the intersection of environmental-and-social sustainability and business value.

At Presidio, I teach the course Management Consulting Skills for Sustainability Professionals and direct PGS Consults, Presidio Graduate School’s sustainability management consultancy, since 2018. PGS Consults’ 15 consultants – comprising faculty, alumni, and students – serve international clients with ESG training for boards and executive suites, carbon accounting, life-cycle assessment, materiality assessment, EHS management system implementation, sustainability report writing, and ESG leadership playbook development.

Outside work, I enjoy hiking and bicycling with my husband and son or hosting family and friends for vegetarian meals.
