Ms. Kao has 20 years of investments and capital markets experience, most recently leading fixed income product development for iShares ETFs. Among the 30+ funds she launched while at BlackRock are a “next-gen” suite of ESG and sustainable investing funds. Prior to that role, she served as Director for the Office of Financial Institutions Policy, the lead office on domestic financial services reform priorities at the U.S. Treasury Department. Her team advised on post-crisis financial regulatory reforms such as bank capital and liquidity rules, market structure, reference benchmarks, and “fintech” disintermediation. Between 2004-2011, Ms. Kao was a fixed income trader at Lehman Brothers and Nomura Securities.
